Austin, TX – Construction Worker Injured in On-the-Job Accident on FM 2244
Austin, TX (September 30, 2019) – On September 30, around 1:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a major workplace accident on Farm to Market Rd 2244 between West Lake Hills and Bee Caves Road.
Reports from the Austin-Travis County EMS indicate that a worker was performing duties of their job along FM 2244 when an object fell onto him from an elevated platform.
The construction worker suffered critical and life-threatening injuries in the incident. The victim was transported via STAR Flight to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
