Van Zandt County, TX – 1 Killed & 1 Injured in Crash on TX-243
Van Zandt County, TX (October 4, 2019) – A collision on TX-243 send one person to an area hospital and claimed the life of a second victim on Thursday.
On October 3rd, emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on State Highway 243.
According to reports, a car and a pickup collided along the highway for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision caused extensive damage to the car involved. The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was critically injured in the collision and airlifted to a hospital in Dallas for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
