Hewitt, TX (October 7, 2019) – On October 5, emergency crews responded to the scene of an incident in the 100 block of Hillside Drive.

According to reports, an individual was walking their dog along the roadway when the dog broke free from the owner’s leash.

The dog took off and ran after a young boy. The dog bit the child in the upper arm, causing injuries. The child was transported to Hillcrest hospital where he underwent medical treatment for his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
