Austin, TX – Mauricio Garcia ID’d as Cameron Rd Crash Victim

Austin, TX (October 8, 2019) – A collision on Cameron Rd left one victim deceased.

At approximately 9:50 p.m. on October 3, emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian versus a motor vehicle accident in the 7200 block of Cameron Rd.

According to reports, 58-year-old Mauricio Garcia was attempting to cross Cameron Rd when he was struck by a white 2012 Ford F-150.

Garcia sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At the time, the incident remains under investigation with the Austin Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Unit.
