Friona, TX – Leon Ray Humphrey Killed in Collision on County Rd C
Friona, TX (October 15, 2019) – At approximately 8:30 p.m. on October 14, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on County Road C.
According to reports, 75-year-old Leon Ray Humphrey was traveling west along County Road C in a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis when a collision occurred with a 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by 30-year-old Daniel Lane Cappelucci, at the intersection with County Road 22.
Humphrey was pinned into his vehicle due to the impact of the collision.
Crews pronounced Humphrey deceased at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
