El Paso, TX – Maria Elena Torres ID’d as S Americas Ave Crash Victim
El Paso, TX (October 16, 2019) – On October 14, at approximately 6:47 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 9500 block of Socorro Road.
According to reports, 44-year-old Niobe Adame was traveling west on Socorro Road when she made a turn onto the northbound lanes of S Americas Avenue. As Adame turned onto the roadway, she struck 67-year-old Maria Elena Torres, who was crossing the roadway at a designated crossing area.
Torres sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, police are investigating the incident.
