Austin, TX – David Tienda ID’d as Emerald Forest Dr Crash Victim

Austin, TX (October 18, 2019) – Just after 3:30 p.m. on October 13, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Emerald Forest Drive.

According to reports, a white 2015 Ford F-250 was traveling west along William Cannon Drive. The truck proceeded through the intersection and struck 23-year-old David Tienda, who was crossing the roadway in a motorized wheelchair.

Tienda was rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries. On October 16, authorities confirmed that Tienda succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation with the Austin Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Unit.
