Bicycle Accidents in Texas
According to Denton police statistics, about 11 fatal accidents have occurred in Denton this year. Most bicycle accidents happen when drivers are distracted at the wheel. Distractions make it easy for drivers to accidentally turn or switch lanes in front of oncoming bicyclists. Since bicycles are way less stable than passenger vehicles, it’s easy for riders to eject from their bikes and land on the road.
Most bicyclists sustain fractured bones, head injuries, and internal organ damage after being hit by vehicles. When accidents are so severe that they cause fatalities, families may be able to file wrongful death lawsuits against at-fault drivers.
