Highlands, TX – UPDATE:Devin Lee Custer ID’d as Victim of Barbers Hill Rd Crash
Highlands, TX (October 23, 2019) – A motor vehicle collision on Barbers Hill Road claimed the life of one man.
At approximately 7 p.m. on October 21, 27-year-old Devin Lee Custer and his fiancée were traveling on bicycles down Barbers Hill Road. When the two riders reached the 600 block of the roadway, near Madeline Street, Custer pushed his fiancée out of the way. Immediately after, Custer was struck in the rear by a 2004 Cadillac Deville.
Custer sustained fatal injuries in the collision. Emergency crews declared the victim deceased at the scene.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Vehicular Crimes Division is currently investigating this incident.
