Walker County, TX – UPDATE: 4 Killed and 1 Injured in Head-On Car Accident on Hwy 75
Walker County, TX (October 26, 2019) Four people lost their lives in a head-on car accident on October 23rd. The accident happened on Highway 75 just before 5:00 p.m. According to reports, a black Ford Taurus was traveling southbound on the highway while a white Fusion was traveling northbound. The Ford drove in a no-passing zone and collided head-on with the Fusion.
When emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they found the driver of the Ford and two of his passengers dead at the scene. The driver has been identified as 18-year-old Shawn James Hudson of Silsbee. His passengers have been identified as 22-year-old Jannice Justine Tanton of Buna, and 18-year-old Isaac Vincent Espinoza of Harker Heights. There was another passenger who sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Memorial Hermann for treatment.
The driver of the Fusion also died at the scene. He has been identified as 23-year-old Clayton Matthew Garmon of Huntsville.
The accident is still under investigation at this time.
