Car Accidents in Texas

Waco, TX - 1 Killed In Accident On I-35Studies have proven that distracted driving is responsible for causing thousands of accidents that result in both serious and fatal injuries. When drivers don’t pay attention, they accidentally strike other vehicles, cars, and/or objects.

In order for drivers to drive effectively, three forms of attention are required, which are visual, manual, and cognitive. Visual attention requires drivers to be aware of their surroundings. Manual attention requires drivers to keep their hands on the steering wheel at all times. Lastly, cognitive attention requires them to mentally pay attention to what’s happening while they drive. When drivers fail to utilize all three forms of attention, fatal accidents can occur.
