San Antonio, TX – 2 Injured in 3-Vehicle Collision Near FM 1516
San Antonio, TX (October 27, 2019) On the morning of October 26th, three vehicles were involved in a collision, one of which was a golf cart. Bexar County deputies reported that a vehicle was towing a golf cart when it was rear-ended by another vehicle near FM 1516. The accident occurred at about 9:00 a.m.
Emergency crews arrived and found the man inside of the golf cart critically injured. They rushed him to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment. The driver in the vehicle towing the cart also sustained injuries and was transported to Northeast Methodist Hospital for treatment.
The police are currently investigating, but they believe the driver who caused the accident may have been under the influence.
Our thoughts are with both of the injured victims at this time as they recover.
Car Accidents in Texas
Most rear-end collisions are caused by speeding or following too closely behind other vehicles. Studies show that in 2016, approximately 26,954 vehicle collisions were caused by drivers following too closely behind other vehicles. Unfortunately, when drivers do this, they put themselves and others at risk of sustaining serious injuries or losing their lives.
Those involved in rear-end collisions have the right to file personal injury lawsuits if they sustained injuries.
