Dallas, TX – Melvin Taylor ID’d as Victim of Collision on Dallas North Tollway
Dallas, TX (October 29, 2019) – The victim killed in a wrong-way crash on the Dallas North Tollway has been identified by police.
At 2 a.m. on October 28, emergency crews reported to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the Dallas North Tollway.
As per reports, 30-year-old Chaz Thames was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway, in a white Range Rover, when his vehicle collided head-on with a Nissan Altima near West University Boulevard.
The driver of the Altima, identified as 57-year-old Melvin Taylor, incurred fatal injuries in the collision. Taylor was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Thames was transported to an area hospital and arrested upon his release. Thames was charged with intoxication manslaughter for this incident.
Police are currently investigating.
