At approximately 7:35 a.m., a mother was walking her children to school when she was struck by a motor vehicle in the 2700 block of Royal Road.

The woman sustained injuries in the incident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Amarillo Police Department.
