According to reports, an SUV ran a red light and T-boned a San Antonio Police Department vehicle at the intersection of Martin Street and Picoso Street.

The impact of the collision sent the police car into an abandoned house on the roadway.

The officer sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital.
