Rio Grande City, TX – One Killed in Fire on Old El Sauz Rd
Rio Grande City, TX (December 13, 2019) – A restaurant fire in the 600 block of Old El Sauz Road claimed one victim’s life on Friday.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., on December 13th, authorities were called to the scene of a major fire incident at a restaurant.
While battling the blaze, firefighters noticed an unresponsive person inside the building. Crews pulled the victim out of the building. They were rushed to Starr County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Authorities confirm that the victim later succumbed to their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
