Sherman, TX – Three Killed in US-54 Crash Identified by Police
Sherman, TX (December 17, 2019) – Three victims tragically lost their life in a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 54 on Sunday.
At approximately 5:15 a.m., on December 15, authorities responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident n US Highway 54. As per reports, Toyota Camry and a Chevrolet Traverse collided head-on in the northeast lanes of the highway.
The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to catch on fire.
The driver of the Traverse, who was identified as 31-year-old Shishay Gebre and a 13-year-old boy, were both declared deceased at the scene.
19-year-old Daniel Rodriguez, who was driving the Toyota, incurred fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
A passenger inside the Traverse, who was identified as 37-year-old Tsegahai Sbhatu, was injured and transported to Northwest Texas Hospital.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
