San Antonio, TX – Several Injured, Including 1 Fatally, in I-10 (US-87) Collision
San Antonio, TX (December 26, 2019) – A drunk-driving accident sent several victims to area hospitals with injuries.
On December 21, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 10. Reports indicate that Natalie Saldana was traveling along the roadway in a white sedan when her vehicle collided with a County Deputy’s vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the Deputy’s vehicle to roll 75-feet along the roadway near Boerne Stage Road.
The vehicle came to rest on top of a man and woman, pinning both of them under. The couple’s 18-year-old daughter, who was in the deputy’s vehicle keeping warm after their vehicle broke down on the side of the roadway, was also injured.
The man was transported via AirLIFE to University Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The woman and child were both seriously injured and rushed to University Hospital for treatment.
Saldana was subsequently arrested and charged with three drunk driving charges including two for intoxication assault and one for intoxication manslaughter.
Police are currently investigating.
