Houston, TX – Fatal Collision Reported on Westheimer Rd
Houston, TX (January 14, 2020) – A fatal motor vehicle collision claimed one man’s life on Saturday.
At around 11:10 a.m., on January 11, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near 7508 Westheimer Road.
Reports from police indicate that a 76-year-old male was traveling in a silver Mercedes-Benz GL sedan down South Voss Road when he began experiencing some type of medical episode. The man’s vehicle struck a red Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan before running the red light at the intersection of Westheimer Road.
As the vehicle passed through the intersection, it struck a black Jeep Cherokee then continued along the roadway, striking four more vehicles.
The driver of the Jeep, who was identified as a 27-year-old male, was rushed to Houston Methodist Hospital where he was declared deceased.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
