Amarillo, TX – Evelyn Jasmine Rios Killed in Crash on SE 34th Ave

Amarillo, TX (January 17, 2020) – At around 8:22 a.m., on January 16th, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Southeast 34th Avenue. Reports indicate that 18-year-old Evelyn Jasmine Rios was traveling west along the roadway when her vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle, which was traveling east.

Rios incurred fatal injuries in the collision and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 17-year-old teen, was injured and transported to a local area hospital.

At this time, the Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating.
