Jessica Sarah Medina Killed After Being Drug While Trying to Exit Vehicle

San Antonio, TX (January 26, 2020) – Jessica Sarah Medina was found dead next to a vehicle that crashed into a tire shop in the 3600 block of Culebra Drive around 3:30am on Sunday. According to SAPD reports, the driver of the vehicle was passed out and highly intoxicated upon their arrival. It appears that Ms. Medina may have been dragged by the vehicle.

According to reports by others present on the evening of the incident, Ms. Medina was attempting to exit the vehicle when the driver, Steven Medina (unrelated) started driving off. Ms. Medina was apparently caught on a seatbelt and drug until the vehicle collided into the tire shop. Steven Medina was charged with intoxication manslaughter. At this time, it is unknown where Steven Medina had been drinking prior to the collision.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Ronald Simpkins. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
