Perry McKee Killed while Crossing Moore’s Lane
Texarkana, TX (January 29, 2020) – Perry McKee was killed when he was struck by a Nissan Altima while crossing Moore’s Lane at approximately 6:20pm on Wednesday. The 89-year-old from Texarkana was leaving a shopping center parking lot at the time of the collision.
While it is reported that authorities do not plan to file any charges, a thorough civil investigation would likely be necessary in order to determine whether this was an avoidable collision. While most Texas Crash Reports might put a pedestrian at fault anytime the pedestrian is not in a crosswalk, motorists still have a duty to keep a proper lookout and avoid striking pedestrians.
Our thoughts are with the family of Perry McKee at this time.
We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Ronald Simpkins. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
