4 People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Hockley County

Hockley County, TX (February 10, 2020)- Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Hockley County Monday morning. The wreck occurred at around 7 a.m. on Highway 62/82 and Quail Road when a passenger car failed to yield the right of way to an SUV. The SUV t-boned the passenger car at the intersection. A pickup truck coming up on the intersection slammed on their brakes in attempt to avoid the collision, which caused an 18-wheeler to collide with the back of the pickup truck. All 4 drivers were injured and transported to the local hospital. The driver of the passenger car is likely to be issued a citation for failure to yield the right away. The crash remains under investigation.
