Sean Nelson Killed by Drunk Driver on East Freeway and Sheldon Road in Channelview

Channelview, TX. (February 28, 2020)- Sean Nelson was struck and killed by a drunk driver February 27, in Channelview, Texas.  The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. in the 16300 block of the East Freeway near Sheldon Road.  Nelson was a passenger in a white Dodge truck that was traveling eastbound on the freeway.  Nelson and the driver had stopped to check their trailer, when an oncoming black Dodge truck veered of the road towards their vehicle.  Nelson and the trailer were struck by the black Dodge.  Sean Nelson died at the scene.  The three occupants of the black Dodge were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  The driver of the black Dodge was taken into custody on suspicion of DWI.  The crash is under investigation.
