Passenger Seriously Injured in High-Speed Crash on Laterna Lane near Highway 6 in Southwest Houston

Houston, TX (April 1, 2020)- A passenger was critically injured in a high-speed crash on March 29, 2020 in Houston, Texas. The accident occurred at around 10.00 p.m. in the 14100 block of Laterna Lane. Officials reported that a Ford Mustang was speeding down a residential roadway when it crashed into three parked cars. The impact of the crash pinned the Mustang underneath a truck, trapping the front seat passenger. The driver fled the scene of the crash, leaving the passenger pinned inside. Witnesses pursued the driver and held them until authorities arrived. The passenger was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver is facing a failure to stop and render aid charge and is being investigated for DWI. The investigation is ongoing.
