4-Year-Old Killed in Crash Involving an 18-Wheeler on East Sam Houston Parkway near Crosby Freeway in Harris County

Harris County, TX. (April 17, 2020)- A 4-year-old child was killed in a two-vehicle crash on April 16, 2020 in Harris County, Texas. The accident occurred on Thursday morning, in the 7600 block of Sam Houston Parkway near the Crosby Freeway. Witnesses reported that the driver of a four-door sedan was traveling eastbound on the East Beltway when they ran a red light. An 18-wheeler was traveling northbound on the service road when it was struck by the sedan. The child in the sedan was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan and a second child were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the 18-wheeler was unharmed. The crash remains under investigation.
