One Killed, Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 290 near Antoine Drive in Houston
Houston, TX. (June 26, 2020)- One person was killed, and two were injured in a three-vehicle crash on June 24, 2020 in Houston, Texas. The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Highway 290 near Antoine Drive. Police reported that that the driver of a Jeep Cherokee was traveling at a high rate of speed on the highway. The Jeep then crashed into a box truck and Nissan sedan that were stopped on the highway due to a minor collision. The impact caused the box truck to flip onto its side. The sedan was crushed in the accident. The driver and passenger of the Nissan were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Officers determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
