Luke Masakazu Carter and Eli Jon Fowler Killed in Head-On Crash on East Sherman Drive and FM 2153 in Denton

Denton, TX. (May 20, 2021)- 18-year-old Luke Masakazu Carter and 20-year-old Eli Jon Fowler were killed in a two-vehicle crash on May 18, 2021 in Denton, Texas. The accident occurred shortly after 10:50 a.m. at the East Sherman Drive and FM 2153 intersection. Police reported that the driver of a southbound Ford F-250 crossed into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a Toyota Tacoma occupied by Carter and Fowler. Carter and Fowler were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
