The accident occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. on State Highway 154 near Sulphur Springs, Texas. Troopers reported that the driver of a northbound 2013 Dodge Challenger failed to control their speed and rear-ended a 2019 Lincoln SUV occupied by the victims. The force of the impact pushed the Lincoln off the roadway where it crashed into several trees and then a southbound 2014 Dodge Ram. Brenda and her passenger Tracy were pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Ram and Challenger were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.

We send our deepest condolences to the families of Brenda and Tracy Coker. Our thoughts are with them at this time.

Car Accident in Texas

Sherman, TX – 2 Injured In Rear-End Accident On Hwy 56Every year, almost two million accidents are caused by vehicles rear-ending each other throughout the country. These types of accidents may result from speed, drunk driving, aggressive driving, and fatigued driving. Other times these accidents result from faulty brakes.

No matter the cause, usually the driver responsible for rear-ending another vehicle is held liable. Those who sustain injuries in rear-end accidents can file personal injury lawsuits if they were not at fault.

However, there are some instances where other contributing factors are responsible for causing drivers to rear-end other vehicles. In these matters, a personal injury lawyer is required to help prove one’s case.
