Antonio Perez Jr. Killed, Anthony Luna Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on State Highway 349 near Midland
Martin County, TX. (June 25, 2021)- 41-year-old Antonio Perez Jr. was killed, and 27-year-old Anthony Luna was injured in a two-vehicle crash on June 24, 2021 in Martin County, Texas. The accident occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. on State Highway 349 near Midland, Texas. DPS reported that Luna and Perez Jr. were traveling southbound in a 2007 Ford F-150 when a 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer failed to yield the right of way when turning onto the highway from a private driveway. The two vehicles then collided. Perez Jr., a passenger in the Ford, was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Luna, the driver of the Ford, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
