Nelda Chancy Peddle Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash on East Martin Luther King Drive in San Marcos
San Marcos, TX. (October 4, 2021)- 49-year-old Nelda Chancy Peddle was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on September 26, 2021, in San Marcos, Texas. The accident occurred Sunday in the 110 block of East Martin Luther King Drive. Police reported that Peddle was walking in the roadway when she was struck by a silver Acura. Peddle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Acura fled the scene but was later located and charged with intoxication manslaughter and felony tampering with physical evidence. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
