Jose Gilberto Ayala Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 2221 near Texan Road in Hidalgo County
Hidalgo County, TX. (February 28, 2022)- Jose Gilberto Ayala was killed in a two-vehicle crash on February 26, 2022, in Hidalgo County, Texas. The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on FM 2221 near Texan Road. DPS reported that a Nissan Altima and a Dodge Nitro were involved in a collision. The driver and passenger in the Dodge were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Nissan was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance where he succumbed to his injuries. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
