The incident happened sometime before 8:56 a.m. Officials say the wreck also caused a blockage on the ramp from northbound I-45 to eastbound I-20.
There’s no word yet on whether anyone was injured in the wreck. It’s also unclear if and when crews were able to clear the big rig from the roadway and re-open the ramps.
Officials urge drivers to practice caution and to refrain from driving if possible until the ice has cleared.
