Semi-truck wreck on I-35 WB at Crawford blocks traffic in Denton

DENTON, TX – Officials closed the westbound lanes of I-35 in the area of Crawford Road on Tuesday morning after an 18-wheeler crashed on the icy roadway, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. just southwest of the Denton Country Club in southwest Denton.

Police say the semi-truck jackknifed on the interstate, causing it to block several lanes of traffic.

The circumstances of the wreck are unclear, but police say it was caused by dangerous road conditions.

The westbound lanes remained closed in the area of the accident for at least two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

No injuries have been reported in connection to the wreck.
