1 hospitalized in Parker Co. box truck vs. semi crash on I-20 EB
WEATHERFORD, TX – The driver of a box truck sustained serious injuries after his truck collided with a semi along the interstate in Weatherford last Tuesday, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on February 14th on the eastbound side of I-20 near Ranger Highway in central Parker County.
Police say the driver of the box truck failed to stop in time for slowed traffic on the interstate and crashed into a semi-truck. In addition to seriously injuring the box truck driver, the collision also caused a fuel spill on the roadway.
Officials closed I-20 in the area of the crash for at least four hours while HazMat crews worked to clean up the spill.
It is unclear if the driver of the 18-wheeler sustained injuries.
