Gravel truck rollover on I-35W near Meacham kills 1
FORT WORTH, TX – The driver of a dump truck hauling gravel died Monday after their vehicle rolled over along the interstate in the Melody Hills area, reports DFW Scanner.
Rollover Accident (Fort Worth) Engine 1 reports an overturned gravel truck in the southbound lanes of I35W Express near Meacham Blvd. Gravel on the northbound and southbound express lanes. One person pinned under the truck, fatality. Avoid this area.

The incident happened sometime before 1:02 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35W near Meacham Boulevard, which is just west of North Fossil Creek.
Update – Dump truck hit the TxDOT sign. Debris hit at least one vehicle in the northbound express lanes. Driver of the dump truck is deceased on the scene. Expect a prolonged closure.

It’s unclear how the crash happened, but officials say a dump truck hauling gravel hit a sign on the roadway and overturned. The truck spilled gravel across both lanes of the interstate, causing road closures.
The driver of the dump truck died at the scene of the crash. Officials have not yet released their identity.
It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the crash. A full investigation is underway.
