Two-vehicle crash involving stalled car kills 1 in Plano

PLANO, TX – A woman died Monday night after she exited her disabled car on the highway and was struck by oncoming traffic, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on the southbound side of US-75 near Legacy Drive, which is just northwest of Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve.

The investigation thus far indicates that a southbound car rear-ended a stalled vehicle on the highway. A woman then exited the stalled vehicle and was struck by one or more cars in the roadway.

The occupant of the stalled vehicle died at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.

It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the accident. A full investigation is underway.
