Man killed in Jacksonville head-on collision on TX-135

JACKSONVILLE, TX – The driver of a 2009 Toyota Corolla died Thursday after his car collided head-on with another vehicle along a highway in Jacksonville, reports KETK.

The incident happened at 5:53 p.m. on State Highway 135, which runs through Jacksonville. The exact location of the collision is still unclear.

The investigation indicates that the southbound Toyota crashed into a northbound 2011 Chevrolet truck on the highway.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as 36-year-old Matthew John Brown, died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the driver of the Chevy, identified as 51-year-old Tommy Wayne Kerzee, to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
