Vehicle strikes, injures student at Fort Worth high school

FORT WORTH, TX – A teen went to the hospital on Monday evening after a friend’s vehicle struck her in a Tarrant County high school parking lot, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident occurred around 5:51 p.m. in the parking lost of Chisholm Trail High School, which is located at 3100 NW College Drive. The school is just north of Tarrant County College – Northwest.

Police say the victim walked her friend to a car in the parking lot, at which point the friend handed the victim an item before joining her parent in the car. The victim dropped the item under the vehicle and stooped to retrieve it, at which point the the driver backed into her. The victim’s arm became pinned under the tire of the car until the driver accelerated forward.

Medics transported the teen victim to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

No other injuries were reported in connection to the event.
