Teen killed in ATV rollover accident in Mansfield

MANSFIELD, TX – A 16-year-old boy died, and one other person sustained injuries when an ATV overturned in Mansfield on Saturday, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 5:50 p.m. in the cul-de-sac on Woodland Drive, which is just southwest of Highway 287,

The investigation indicates that the driver of the ATV lost control while navigating a turn, which caused the vehicle to overturn.

A teen passenger became trapped under the ATV. This person died after transport to an Arlington hospital.

The driver of the ATV received treatment at the scene of the crash for minor injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
