Joseph McMullin Fatally Struck in DUI Crash on Westheimer Road near Waugh Drive in Montrose
Montrose, TX. (April 26, 2023)- 33-year-old Joseph McMullin was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on April 19, 2023, in Montrose, Texas. The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Westheimer Road near Waugh Drive. Police reported that the driver of a westbound Porsche 911 Carrera failed to maintain a single lane and struck a curb. The impact caused the Porsche to leave the roadway and travel onto the sidewalk where it struck McMullin. The Porsche then hit a light pole in a nearby parking lot. McMullin was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two passengers in the Porsche were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The driver was later released from the hospital and arrested for intoxication manslaughter. No further details have been provided at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
