1 injured when firetruck strikes vehicle on Garland Rd in Dallas
DALLAS, TX – One person went to the hospital Wednesday morning after wet roadways caused a collision between a fire truck and a car near White Rock Lake, reports NBCDFW 5.
The incident happened around 11:15 a.m. near the intersection of Garland Road and Winsted Drive, which is just southwest of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Area.
The investigation indicates that a fire truck hydroplaned during a storm and collided with a car on Garland Road. At the time of the accident, the truck was en route to a fire in the area.
The driver of the car sustained non-critical injuries.
The firefighter was unhurt in the collision.
