2-vehicle crash involving semi-truck kills 1 in Rio Vista

RIO VISTA, TX – A 52-year-old man died on Wednesday in Rio Vista after a collision involving a passenger vehicle and an 18-wheeler, reports DFW Scanner.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of FM 916 and County Road 1208, which is just south of Grand Valley Lands Airport.

Police say that the victim died at the scene and that he was an occupant of the passenger vehicle. They have not yet released his identity to the public.

A full investigation is underway. At this time, it is still unknown if the truck driver sustained injuries in the crash.
