5-vehicle crash at Hwy 259 and Fourth kills 1 in Longview

LONGVIEW, TX – Two people died on Tuesday from injuries sustained a day prior in a 5-vehicle crash along the highway in Longview, reports KLTV 7. 

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Highway 259 and North Fourth Street, which is just northeast of Longview Mall.

Police have not yet shared any details regarding the cause of the accident. They say that five vehicles were involved and that crews closed the intersection for at least two hours to investigate and clear the scene.

Officials have not yet released the names of the deceased, and it’s still unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the crash.
