3 hospitalized in Anderson Co. multi-vehicle crash on US-79

NECHES, TX – Three people went to the hospital Wednesday morning after a head-on collision involving three vehicles along the highway in Neches, reports CBS 19.

The incident happened on US-79 in Neches, which is southeast of Dallas and northeast of Palestine.

The investigation thus far indicates that a southbound GMC SUV collided head-first with a Cadillac after veering into the northbound lane and hitting the side of a van.

Medics transported the drivers of the SUV and the Cadillac via air to a hospital in Tyler. The driver of the van was taken via ground ambulance to a hospital in Palestine.

A full investigation is underway.
