Air ambulance called to semi crash on Hwy 199 in Springtown

SPRINGTOWN, TX – Officials dispatched an air ambulance to the scene of a major accident involving an 18-wheeler along the highway in Springtown on Thursday, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened some time before 1:32 p.m. on Highway 199 near Clayton Crossing, which is just northwest of Springtown High School.

Police have not shared any details regarding the accident except to say that it involved a semi-truck and one other vehicle and that at least one person became entrapped. Injuries are likely.

Officials closed both sides of Highway 199 while crews responded to the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
