Two semi-trucks collide head on near Santo, killing 3

PALO PINTO, CO., TX – Two truck drivers and one passenger died late Sunday night after their 18-wheelers collided along the interstate in southeast Palo Pinto County, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened just before midnight  on the westbound side of I-20 between Santo and Weatherford.

The investigation thus far indicates that the 46-year-old male driver of an eastbound 18-wheeler traveled over the median and crashed head on into a westbound 18-wheeler driven by a 63-year-old man from California.

Both drivers died in the crash, as did a 60-year-old male passenger from the westbound semi-truck.

At this time, it’s still unclear why the driver of the eastbound truck veered into the westbound lane. Additionally, authorities have not yet released the names of the victims.

A full investigation is underway.
