Wrong-way crash on Jim Wright Fwy NB near Azle kills 1
LAKE WORTH, TX – A 71-year-old woman died on Monday morning after her vehicle collided with another car along the service road to the freeway in Lake Worth, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 10 a.m. in a northbound lane of the Jim Wright Freeway service road near the intersection with Azle Avenue, which is just west of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The investigation indicates that the victim drove southbound on the northbound side of the service road and crashed head-on into another vehicle.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle died after transport to a local hospital.
The other driver sustained non-critical injuries. It is unclear if they were hospitalized.
A full investigation is underway.
