Teen struck by vehicle at Main St and Memorial Dr in The Colony

THE COLONY, TX – Police are investigating Tuesday after a car hit a teen at a busy intersection just northwest of the Sam Rayburn Tollway in The Colony.

According to WFAA 8, the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Memorial Drive, which is just southwest of The Colony Five Star Complex.

Police have not yet disclosed many details regarding the crash. They say that the 14-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. The severity of the pedestrian’s injuries is still unknown.

Officials closed all lanes of traffic in the vicinity of the crash while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
