2 hospitalized in fiery solo crash on S Cherry in White Settlement

WHITE SETTLEMENT, TX – A driver and passenger went to the hospital Saturday after their car crashed along a roadway just north of the interstate in White Settlement.

According to NBC DFW 5, the incident happened early in the morning in the area of 1700 South Cherry Lane, which is near Cherry Hill Bingo and the Cherry Hills Shopping Center.

The investigation thus far indicates that the driver lost control of the northbound vehicle, left the roadway, and crashed into a utility pole.

The force of the collision caused the engine of the car to ignite. The driver exited the vehicle on his own, and police extricated an unconscious passenger.

Both occupants went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
